We could not have had a better day for the 2009 Mays Chapel Spring Festival.  Graul's Markets organizes this festival each year to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  Roundwood Center shop owners and managers in conjunction with SunTrust Bank and the Hannon Realty Group sponsor the festival with Graul's.

A gorgeous day that warmed into the 80's made for a wonderful afternoon.  There was a balloon twister, man on stilts, a giant slide, and face painting for the kids while adults enjoyed free food, cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, and lots of giveaways from festival sponsors.

CLICK HERE to see PHOTOS of the festival.

Graul's gave away free hot dogs and donated a portion of all of their sales to the American Cancer Society.

Cheryl Schaffer, SunTrust Bank Mays Chapel Branch manager took care of the children on the giant slide while Cheryl Davis, Assistant Branch Manager and bank tellers gave passersby lots of great freebies.

Diane Tydings with Keelty manned the popcorn machine and the owners of Sabor offered tasty free samples of their cuisine.

Michelle Brunner, owner of the Salon at Mays Chapel, gave away canvas totes and offered a raffle to win top-line salon products.

Jesse and our team member, Chevelle Welsh, helped me give away recycleable grocery bags, refrigerator note pads, and information about currently available homes in the area.

A live band added to the festive atmosphere and a great time was had by all.

Live in the area and wondering what is selling in your neighborhood?  Check out our NEIGHBORHOOD UPDATES!

Wishing you sunshine everyday and the home of your dreams,
Jeri

Join us this Saturday, April 25th, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., at Roundwood Center for the Mays Chapel Spring Festival.  Each year, the store owners, SunTrust Bank, Keelty Construction, and the Hannon Realty Group sponsor the festival with Graul’s in support of the American Cancer Society (ACS).

Graul’s donates 5% of their sales this day to the (ACS) and the rest of us who sponsor the festival offer raffles and giveaways to support this effort.

It’s sure to be lots of fun with free food, a giant slide for the kids, a band, an antique car show, a balloon twister, and more.  If you can make it, please stop by our table and say hello.  We have some great freebies to give you, too!

By the way, want to know what is selling in your neighborhood?  Don't wait for a realtor to mail you old statistics.  Check out our Neighborhood Updates!  Jesse updates this information daily, so you'll always know what has just been listed and what just sold.

Looking for a good buy?  Each week we scour the MLS and choose three properties to feature as our Best Buys.  Check it out!

Wishing you sunshine everyday and the home of your dreams,
Jeri

If you’ve been perusing our Best Buys page, you may be wondering what the difference is between a short sale and a foreclosure?  A foreclosure is a bank-owned property and a short sale is a pre-foreclosure situation where the lender has agreed to allow the seller to sell his house for less money than what is owed on the mortgage.

In most cases, a foreclosure is more harmful than a short sale Click Here to see the differences.

Also, Jesse recently earned his Certified Distressed Property Expert designation, so if you know someone who is having a hard time making their mortgage payments, Jesse may be able to help them avoid foreclosure.  There are solutions available, but time is of the essence in these situations, so please call him at 410-215-7131 or email him right away.

You can also visit our We Care page for more information about avoiding foreclosure.

Wishing you sunshine everyday and the home of your dreams,

There couldn’t be a better time to buy a home or move up in a home than right now!  The first-time buyer tax credit, low and negotiable home prices, terrific interest rates, and plenty of homes from which to choose has created a fantastic opportunity to jump in the market or move up to a larger home or to a home in a better location.

This being the case, Jesse and I have forged a partnership with SunTrust Mortgage and SunTrust Bank to create a highly informative, no pressure, no obligation, home buying seminar.  As former educators for the Baltimore County Public Schools, we have always believed in the importance of education – and now as realtors, we believe educating prospective home buyers is extremely important, especially in this market.

Our next seminar is scheduled for April 16th and we invite you to attend.
Simply CLICK HERE to register.

Seminar:  10 Easy Steps to Buying a Home
When:  April 16, 2009       7:00-8:00 p.m.
Where:  SunTrust Bank, Mays Chapel Branch
(Padonia Road in the Graul’s Shopping Center)

Can’t attend the seminar, but would like some information on the home buying process?  CLICK HERE and we’ll put the information in the mail to you.

Thinking that you’d like to take advantage of one of those great deals out there?  Check out our BEST BUYS!  Each week, we scour the market, choose three homes that we think are really good bargains, and post them on our website.

We hope you can join us at the seminar because it is one hour jam packed full of important information.

Wishing you sunshine everyday and the home of your dreams,
Jeri
